Greetings My Brothers and Sisters!

Dominic Hunter Meets Earvin "Magic" Johnson

First of all, let me tell you I thought I was one of the most humble guys there is, (by the way that's what a lot of people tell me), up until I recently met Earvin "Magic" Johnson, at the Magic Convention Show (a worldwide retailers clothing and shoes convention) in Las Vegas. This guy "Magic" Johnson is one of the humblest people you would want to meet. If you can, lets forget for a moment that this man will go down in history as one of the greatest basketball leader and player of all time (three time NBA's MVP, five time NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, NCAA National Champion at Michigan State University, etc.) and in addition he is a successful businessman ( he owns eighty-two Burger Kings, numerous Magic Johnson Theaters, TGI Fridays, Starbucks Coffee, part owner of the Los Angels Lakers and more.). Also let me add that this guy financially speaking is worth about a half-billon dollars. Now during this meeting I learned so much more, which motivated me to continue to be successful in my line of businesses (Nationwide Security Systems, Nationwide Furniture, Dominic and Kim's Fine Fashions and Shoes, Vacation Now, Abundance Now radio show, Dominic Hunter.com, and restaurants that will be opening soon, etc.). Magic Johnson also shared with me information and knowledge and wisdom as it relates to business, helping our young people, and helping our communities.

First of all, regardless of how much you and I acquire in life, we should always keep a positive attitude towards one another. That is to become and remain positive, nice, and kind to everyone.

Secondly, those who are financially empowered, should willingly assist those who are less fortune. I applaud Magic Johnson and others, as well as myself, who are empowering our people. By the way, lets continue to do so and God will continue to bless all of us.

Thirdly, we should teach our youth how to start businesses or save and invest their money instead of spending their money as soon as they get it, and to start working towards their goals in life. All of my kids know how to function in more than one way in our businesses, including my youngest five-year-old daughter Shakira. So it is important for all of us as parents, mentors, teachers, coaches, etc. to teach our kids valuable and good principles at a young age, so that they will grow up and be more successful in every area of their lives.

Finally for now, we as a people should support our own black businesses. If we don't support one another, well who will? Jealously, envy, or any other negative emotions should not be the reasons why we should not patronize with one another. Other cultures and races have done an excellent job in supporting their own kind; then so shall we. One study says that Jews exchange money within their own community eleven times before their money leaves their community; let me add that if the money ever leaves their community. This same study indicates that money in our (African-American) community exchanges itself only once before it leaves our community. That is too fast my people, and if that is not disappointing or sad, than tell me what is. Meanwhile as I stated earlier, listening and talking with Magic Johnson has moved me so, in so much that whatever more that my staff and I can continue to do to help and empower our people, we will do it. My prayer is that you too continue to do your part and together we will have better communities, more businesses, more jobs, wiser and motivated young people, and most importantly a better attitude.

Peace,

Dominic Hunter
